un-: not
bossed: dictated; governed; ordered about; pushed around.
bought: acquired; off-the-rack; purchased; sold.

When Shirley Chisholm became the first Black woman to run for President in 1972, she let it be known that she could not be bought nor bossed. Neither can we.

This clothing line represents the willingness to be unaplogetically who we are, collectively and individually. Our Blackness has always been unique. Others have tried to imitate, but could never duplicate our innate beauty and culture. Our ancestors knew this and have passed this down to us. Mrs. Chisholm set the standard: she could not be bought, nor could she be bossed. We believe the same thing.
